ISEB Professional is an award that recognises individuals who have achieved ISEB qualifications outside their specialism in addition to those within their own specialism.
Holders of the ISEB award will have proven capability in the following areas which together demonstrate professionalism:
- Formal qualification (depth and breadth
- Experience in specific area
- Ethics and code of conduct
- Mentoring and/or leadership
The ISEB Professional Award is based on Job Roles and will require at least the following:
A Higher Level qualification in own specific subject area
Membership of the BCS (or Professional organisation with a formal reciprocal arrangement with the BCS eg: ISM)
Foundation Level certification in at least two subject areas, including one directly related to one’s own area
One or more additional Practitioner Level Certificates (the number will depend of the particular Higher Level qualification put forward as part of the application)
Once all of these are in place, the candidate should apply to ISEB for the issue of the ISEB Professional Award.

- Diploma in Business Analysis
- Diploma in Systems Development
- Manager's Certificate in IT Infrastructure Management
- IS Consultancy Practice
- IS Project Management
ISEB Foundation Level qualifications include:
- Foundation in IT Service Management
- Foundation in IT Assets & Infrastructure
- Foundation in Project Management
- Foundation in IT-enabled business change
- Foundation in Business Analysis
- Foundation in Software Testing
- Foundation in Development and Delivery
- Certificate in Information Security Principles
- Foundation in IT Law
