Course Summary:
The role of teaching assistants in a school, how to support
pupils with particular learning needs and how to support
teaching and learning.
Course Outline:
- Contribute to professional practice in the teaching and
learning environment
- Support the teacher to manage the learning
- Support the learning process
- Support the development of Literacy, Numeracy and ICT skills
- Support learners with additional needs
Course Pre-requisites:
One must be at least 16 years of age with GCSE equivalent of C
grade or above
Assessment:
One externally marked assignment and one internally marked
assignment
How many Teaching Hours:
Approximately 120 hours
